They codified the Police State when Obama signed the NDAA bill on New Year’s Eve. Now they are pushing through a disgraceful internet censorship bill. Currently Barack Obama’s Department of Commerce is spending our taxes and resources creating an Internet ID system. Both of my senators voted for the NDAA, and one of them is co-sponsoring PIPA. I voiced my concerns before the vote on the NDAA, where is my representation? How does this help my state? What citizens can my representatives claim to be supporting? Why is this happening?
For those who don’t know, this is my first blog. And we talk about the government quite a bit. Maybe this was a bad move for self preservation…. But then again, if we weren’t doing this, we would still be living under the same increasingly oppressive system and they would come for us one way or another, just because they can. We will be put on lists from global to local in February. What they plan to do with those lists, and what it means for us, is yet to be seen. However, I do not think the existence of such lists can possibly be good for American liberty. Probably just having a blog that talks about anything involving their domestic spying of us or liberty is enough to get put on a list. Goodie! I guess local police offices will be alerted that there are “anti-government terrorist” bloggers living in the neighborhood, and that they need to be detained, or at minimum, surveilled. Remember, this will be legal once Obama signs the NDAA. Local small town police offices are probably too small for such internet surveillance, so The Feds want to hand that information over, but for the benefit of the federal government. Thomas Jefferson is not happy right now.
I just hope my Sheriff’s office is more like this. Strong local communities and connections have the potential to remain free in the face of federal tyranny. The national crackdown on liberty cannot be successful without local law-enforcement cooperation. However, the DHS is providing local law enforcement offices across the nation with army weaponry along with the warning mantra of “home grown terrorism.” There are a lot of signs right now that things are not going to go our way, the way of liberty. Just to be clear, this blog talks about government attacking citizens, not citizens attacking the government.
In sum, Peaceful Survivalism is Terrorism…and don’t criticize the government. Okay? But Remember, you live in the freest nation in the history of the planet. If anyone from the government asks you to put on handcuffs and a black bag, go peacefully and willingly. Repeat after me…. “I am free to do as you say, I am free to do as you say, I am free to, I am free to baaaaaaaaaaahhh”
“Department of Homeland Security Using Fake Facebook and Twitter Accounts to Monitor Posts Containing Certain Keywords
EPIC has filed a Freedom of information Act lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security to force disclosure of the details of the agency’s social network monitoring program. In news reports and a Federal Register notice, the DHS has stated that it will routinely monitor the public postings of users on Twitter and Facebook. The agency plans to create fictitious user accounts and scan posts of users for key terms. User data will be stored for five years and shared with other government agencies. The legal authority for the DHS program remains unclear. EPIC filed the lawsuit after the DHS failed to reply to an April 2011 FOIA request.

Your ‘Human-to-Animal’ Tweets Aren’t Safe, Privacy Watchdog Says

December 28, 2011 (CN) December 20, 2011 — – Homeland Security spies on Facebook and Twitter users, recording the activity of people who search for terms like “human to animal,” “collapse” and “infection,” according to an online privacy advocacy group that has sued to peruse the agency’s data.
The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) says Homeland Security announced plans to monitor social media sites in February.
”The initiatives were designed to gather information from ‘online forums, blogs, public websites, and message boards,’ to store and analyze the information gathered, and then to ‘disseminate relevant and appropriate de-identified information to federal, state, local, and foreign governments and private sector partners,’” according to the federal complaint filed in Washington, D.C.
”Previously, DHS had developed surveillance initiatives of public chats and other online forums concerning specific events, such as the January 2010 earthquake in Haiti, the 2010 Winter Olympics, and the April 2010 BP oil spill,” EPIC also claims.
As part of the initiative, the agency would “establish [fictitious] usernames and passwords” to spy on users and record their activities based on a number of search terms, including “human to animal,” “collapse,” “outbreak,” and “illegal immigrants,” the complaint says.
Homeland Security regularly plans to report their findings to “federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, foreign, or international government partners,” the privacy group says.
EPIC allegedly requested documents from Homeland Security in April related to third-party contractors that work on social-media monitoring. The companies included H.B. Gar Federal, Palantir Technologies, and Berico Technologies, according to the complaint.
Homeland Security denied the request, and EPIC appealed the decision.
A request under the Freedom of Information Act to access the documents has gone unanswered after the department forwarded it to several components for processing and future response, according to the federal complaint.

Now, I don’t see investigative forces in Iowa trying to arrest the boys who pranced around indecently in Iowa. Clearly they didn’t take that video seriously. Why are they taking the first video seriously?
It isn’t too hard to figure out who made the first video anyway. As a person who has watched many anonymous videos in the past two years I can tell this video is poorly made copy-cat (If I can see it, why can’t they?) But, furthermore, I have cracked the case! These guys made the video! You know how I figured it out? I clicked on all their uploaded videos to the account.
You can follow the clear progression.
1) Mischievous kids make silly videos.
2) Mischievous kids find anonymous, start liking the messages.
3) Mischievous kids join occupy Iowa (see corn field in second video, as well as the video entitled “#OccupyIowaDay1″ uploaded by them on October 7th).
4) Mischievous kids have epiphany, put all three previous steps into one video, claim to find it outside their tent in their Occupy Iowa encampment.

Now, there are some folks worried that this is a false flag event so that powerful government agencies can oversee the caucus to tinker with the voting. This makes sense only because the “Iowa officials” and the “press” are taking the video seriously.
But it does not make sense if the solution is to count paper ballots, which is what they are saying. So, I am confused, and am not sure exactly what is going on here, who is running the show, or why they (the people behind the scenes who make such decisions as to have the media focus on silly videos) are promoting this silly “threatening” video meme. But, one does recall all the problems with the Florida vote in 2000, including paper ballots being illegally destroyed before the recount and a very suspect Supreme Court decision, among many, many other problems. This could be the harbinger of many more such shenanigans. If so, I guarantee it will be the Ron Paul votes that will suffer.
